Coaching in Bahrain

Bahrain April 2014

My first trip to Bahrain went really well. Thank you to Jasbir Kauldhar for organising the week, which ran so smoothly.
I met some lovely people, who worked really hard to improve their riding in such a short time. We held four dismounted clinics, along with the ridden dressage and jumping lessons. All the folk that attended the dismounted clinics, had a lot of fun and gained so much, this helped them accelerate their learning on the horses too. In addition to this I videoed all the students, in order that they can get a picture of how things look as well as feel. Our brain and body are very good at deceiving us into thinking things are different to how they really are!

I hope that I have left all the participants enough homework, allowing them to stay busy for the next few months! We are planning another trip to Bahrain towards the end of this year, so I look forward to seeing all the lovely friendly folk again.

It was great to have the sunshine and warmth, however to avoid the very hottest part of the day, we started teaching at 8am finishing for the morning at 10am, then back again at 3pm until 8pm.
On the Friday morning, I took a break from teaching and took Jasbirs lovely horses to a local show. I had a lot of fun and despite only riding Osina once before the competition, we managed to win all three classes! Of course some of the credit has to go to Jasbir and the guys who help to school Osina, at the yard where she is kept.

Thank you to Helen Blake, whom I had to pleasure of teaching during the week, for the lovely write up in The Gulf Weekly. Andy, my F1 enthusiast husband, was very impressed that I was on the same page as Lewis Hamilton!

Feedback from Bahrain April 2014

Hi Karen,

Thanks a lot for your dedication and patience with us.

Have a great day and please do come to Bahrain again!

Best regards,

Hi Karen,
It was a pleasure to meet you and learn from you. I have practiced what I learn on my horse and could feel the difference. Hope to see you again.
Dear Karen,

Thanks so much for the videos - really interesting to see the changes, especially from the photograph showing how arched my back was before correction !!

I so enjoyed your tuition and tried very hard this morning to emulate how it was (and felt) yesterday. I shall persevere !

Hope you enjoyed Bahrain and look forward to seeing you, hopefully, in the not too distant future.

With very best wishes,

Emma G

It was great to get to ride with you and hope you will come back again.
